Welcome

to the Wonderful World I've Created

This, as you may have already guessed, is my page dedicated to all of the bands who have made our lives more meaningful.

Sublime is my favorite band. Brad Nowell was the front man

until he died of a heroin overdose on May 25, 1996. They had just released

their hard hitting self titled album Sublime. Brad was married on May 18, 1996, just one week before his death. He had a son, Jakob, who was the light in his otherwise bleak world. He also had a dalmation named Lou who went everywhere with him. Jakob and Lou are both pictured above with Brad.

I am also a huge KoRn fan. I have all of their albums and I

listen to them almost as much as I listen to Sublime. KoRn hit the main-

stream with their self titled album, KoRn, in 1995. That was all it took for them to take over the Rock industry. KoRn's greatest aspect is that their frontman, Jonathan Davis, was a loser in school and he was picked on by everybody. This show's through into KoRn's songs. In "Faget", off of their first album, Jonathan tells us about the pain he went through in high school. In another song off of their first album, "Divine", Jon Davis anger builds throughout the song until he is eventually screaming, "Fuck you, I'm fed up with you, I am not as good as you, fuck no I am better than you." This is an anthem to anyone who wasn't in the "popular" crowd in high school. The way people treat you if you are not a part of their clique makes you want to say, "Fuck you, I'm fed up with you, I am not as good as you, fuck no I am better than you."

Where there is KoRn, there is...

Limp Bizkit kicks ass, and is definitely establishing a name

for themselves in the rock industry. They released their first album, "Three

Dollar Bill Yall..." which has had two big hits on an otherwise great album. In early '98 Korn took notice of Limp Bizkit and had them signed on at Interscope Records. They also introduced them to DJ Lethal, formerly of House of Pain, to mix for them. They hit it off great and he remixed their album and damn, did it sound good. There first single, "Counterfeit", didn't blow up but it got them noticed by any and all hardcore lovers. It was when they released their remake of the song, "Faith", by George Michael, when they got noticed by everybody. Not only is it a great song, but it sounds a lot better than George Michael's version. Fred Durst, frontman, also did a song with KoRn on their album, Follow the Leader.

Eve6 is one of those bad ass garage bands that made the big

time. They released their first and only album, Eve6, in '98 right after their

high school graduation. They had already recorded their album when they played their senior prom. Eve6's music is filled with teen angst and gives a better image to young people with its smart lyrics, cool beats, and soothing melodies.
